ah, my father was taken there after a bike crash...fortunately he got dealt with quite well.No , at Prince Philip about 9 yrs ago .
cant even pop out to get more as the vice i ordered at 4pm yesterday is marked as out for delivery today so need to stay in for that...so, stick welding it is...not my proudest weld, but 2mm thick box section with a 2.5mm super6 6013, 70 amps, DCEN overhead (table was leaning away maybe 15 degrees so not directly overhead, but close enough) and the first overhead stick weld ive tried in more years than i can remember...looks rough, felt bad while i was doing it, but im sure it will hold. did poke around in the little worm hole to dig the slag out then filled it in again after it cooled...and yes i know the metal is rusty, its been outside for 2 weeks and i wasnt crouching down to get at it with the grinder. the joint got threatened with a wire brush and thats about all it was ever going to get at this point.
the weld above it was gasless mig...thats the bastid i was doing when my back went, although it was on the floor at the timeSomeone mentioned covid earlier.
We had our flu jabs today. Asked about Covid and was stunned after the months of isolating and furlough etc to find it's omly being offered to over 75s.
Whats changed?
Whats changed?
There is now widespread immunity to COVID in the population, so infections tend to be much less serious than they were five years ago, when COVID first reached our shores. The problem with flu, is that the virus mutates greatly from one year to the next, because of the way the mutations are generated.Someone mentioned covid earlier.

No it has always done this. Nothing odd about it.? Because it mutates, or because there's something funky about the mutation(s)?
At present, it's ok. Still having some bad days where it aches a lot and limits what I can do, but more good days than bad. I put that down to stretching and a bit more exercise than before.Getting back on topic, how's the back now @BrokenBiker ?
