What type of cutrers are these ?

Bought these ages ago went to cut sheat metal and there not Shears looks like the cutting part has teeth to hold something ?

That is a Draper version of the famous Monodex nibbler.

Looks decent quality, I had something similar with a plastic body - mine were cheap & nasty but still useful on thin metal.

No distortion with those as they remove a sliver.

The plastic-bodied version was called "Goscut".

ok im going to honest now i was trying to use it the other way up so once ive done the first cut i coud not move it forward and thought it might be as wire cutter

ok will go back in my drawer untill i need it again as now i know how to use it right what a dope

You need to shove the tool pretty hard into the cut to get the center piece to curl up.
They work well on aluminum siding work.

That's an interesting photo, I broke the cutting blade on one of mine and had thought it would be scrap. Didn't throw it away, obviously, but interesting that spare blades are (or were) available. I got a replacement for a pound or so, so haven't looked at it.

I've found that when trying to make a long cut, it's best not to allow the spiral of off-cut material to not get too large. I tend to keep unwinding it and once it's over a few inches long, trim it off. Don't know whether there's any science in that, or whether it's just that my hand has a rest while I'm cutting the piece off. The ones with plastic-covered handles are much easier to use than the all-metal original ones.

I cut the hole for the large sky-light in our camper using those Draper nibblers so as not to disturb the neighbours with a grinder or jigsaw.

It was bloomin' hard work. All the other holes were cut out with a jigsaw!
