I started reading this and the only thing that made me realise that it wasn't me that wrote it was the brake caliper, mine was an LC250. Piston popped out and jammed my index finger just past the joint. My mate was working just around the corner, but I couldn't face the walk there with caliper hanging from my finger, and the inevitable p*ss taking when I got there, so I thought I'd spray some WD-40 over it so it would slide off. Bad idea, I didn't realise there was a big cut, and that made it sting and swell up making it even tighter. Caliper on the vice, holding a chisel in there with the same hand, and hit the chisel with a hammer in the other hand. Free at last!

Yes this works too, I normally use the car to do the work. Remove one caliper at a time and once one piston is moving, hold it with a g clamp and get the other one(s) to break free until complete.
In this case the seller of my 190E had removed both rear calipers to allow the car to be pushed as the engine wasnt running and he also loosened all caliper through bolts not knowing what he was doing! So I cut the brake hoses and dealt with them on the bench instead.

That's why I decided to fix it. I'm trying to change my riding style and use the rear brake more into and out of turns.
I'm an old fart and a bit stuck in my ways after so many years, but you're never to old to learn.

I've went this far with the prep I decided ill leave them off to a local place in the morning for silver zinc plating
I will still also paint them for increased corrosion resistance but having the inner bore re - plated is the best thing for these long term.

To avoid the piston suddenly flying out stick a block of wood or some old brake pads in the caliper.
Another method I've used is spray some decent penetrating oil under the dust boot.
Then using a g-clamp try pressing the piston back in. Once it moves in it will often come back out fully with air but you might have to work the piston in and out a few times before it pops completely.
Obviously you have to use a piston rewind tool on calipers with a handbrake mechanism.
