Oh don't get me started. We've got a broker in Carmarthen who's at least been able to get it down but they're useless at most things. Found another underwriter that would quote but needed an up to date rebuild cost so I said I'd speak with the friend who ran a company that specialised in restoring our kind of property and who provided the initial rebuild cost. Spoke to him, phoned back with the updated rebuild cost. Oh it has to be from an RCBIS or whatever surveyor. Well why the eff didn't you say that when you agreed to me speaking to Jerry.

I have, but dont want to be political at all. In reality big house, big bills, big money into the economy. Little house, lower bills, less money going into the economy. Cars no different really, big tyres cost more than little ones etc.

Suppose with house / property policies rebuild costs have gone up, as materials have gone up, contents replacement costs have gone up due to inflation just seems to be a big bill with hopefully no return.

Insurance costs need to be looked at as a whole industry, underwriters take hits like global disasters and up go insurance premuiums, car, liability, household etc. They must have had a quiet run to be dropping rates.

Maybe the roads are safer since wales is now 20 limit, and most big cities are so congested, bumps are all minor low speed affairs, also the whiplash con men have found a new scam for easy money

Got a quote for a 25 year old who has just passed his test and it was cheaper than same situation 25 year old friends were paying last year. I think they've gone down a bit.
