Definitely agreed on the light. I often use a good cordless led torch in my other hand to get good reflections at the right angle so I can be sure I'm laying it down like glass. Proper booth lights probably deal with this but in a shed a good torch is enough.Some things I've learnt.
You need plenty of light. I need sunglasses in the garage now. Without enough light you can't see if the surface is wet enough.
For those of us with a small compressor (14cfm displacement) a LVLP gun was a good buy.
I was always moving the gun too quickly, slow down and let the paint build up.
Nisocoat 2 was a game changer for me.
