Small tool roll

OK, once you've got over the innuendos of the title there's a serious question.

I'm looking for a small tool roll to carry on my Bantam, but a couple of days searching has turned up very little, the closest I can find is this one.

Which the seller won't sell without tools critically it can't exceed 200mm/8" height as marked in yellow as that's the maximum that will fit under the side cover.

There are lots of "small tool rolls" for sale, but they're all too big so over to the collective for any ideas, thanks.

I'm guessing it doesn't need to be waterproof so just some durable fabric or leather. I'm sure anyone with a sewing machine could knock together something.

A durable fabric will be fine as it will be a fair weather bike, I have a few manual skills but don't know one end of a sewing needle from the other until it draws blood

It could be an option thanks, maybe I could cut off the top flap and fold the rest down to form a new flap?.

I know what I want to carry and am getting the tools together, the one in the first post would be ideal if I could buy an empty one

I would suggest looking at EDC/overland pouches, maxpedition clones or similar. You will probably have a lot more choice in the size you want, and the advantage they zip up so stuff doesn't get lost.

I did find a few suitable pouches which would work, but they were on Temu who I don't have an account with (or trust)

Aliexpress or Temu would be my first port of call, personally I find Aliexpress a more professional outfit, the odd issue I have had they have resolved very quickly

I've found similar rolls in the boot of cars in the past. My 90s Alfa had a neat toolkit, the top or the roll could be folded to suit the longest tool so the tool roll would fit any space..

Scavenge some suitable material from a charity shop and ask around for someone local who can sew it (I have a friend locally who does sewing for fun - she turns out some very neat items ranging from dolls for children to curtains & clothes). You're near a big city, there must be plenty of people nearby who know how to fire up a sewing machine.
Try advertising on your local Facebook groups "I'm looking for a nice lady with a sewing machine to lend me a hand. Send me your details and a photo (of the sewing machine)."

More to the point, how far do you expect to be going on the Bantam ?
One of the best things that you can do is to stick Goop in the tyres, then keep on riding it.
They don't need much beyond a plug spanner and a screwdriver.

Oh Dear!
I have many 'custom' tool rolls made from a wide variety of materials.

I just asked SWMBO nicely, and she made them for me. She made about four of them in one afternoon. She said it was a trivially simple job.

If you have access to a sewing machine - or a biddable female - it shouldn't be too difficult.

I can post photographs if you want me to fuel your jealousy!

I'm keeping my eyes open, it took a fair bit of research find out what the contents were, I will have to go over the bike to see what spanner sizes are needed, ordered a couple of imperial allen keys today
