Sounds about right.. cant find SGS prices on line, but other suppliers are similar money using google. SGS allows the dealer to set prices I believe, so there will be slight variations. Also inc vat or excluding.Hi guys,
Just wondering what price I should expect to pay for rent free 5% mig gas with deposit.
The cheapest local supplier here is £208 for SGS gas.
Cheers
That would be Alan at SGS Gases, profile on here is https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/members/agautosport.11138/With SGS you get a discount on first bottle if a member here send inv to head office.
Also you get a re fund of deposit when you stop renting and return.
Phone head office and ask about it
Can't remember the member who is Boss at SGS
@Wozzaaah will know
That's a good point! My Argon was 230 bar. But then, that is comparing apples with pears because the OP was asking about MiG gas not TiGIf we're comparing apples with apples, it would be useful to add fill pressure too.
The problem with travelling for a cheaper deal is that you then likely have to travel there every time you need a fill as even if you have a local dealer they aren't always going to honour any deal from another depot...Hi guys,

That is indeed the case. You just pay a deposit (£100 in my case) and then just pay for your refills. It took me a loooong time to be free of BOC but I am now!I'm sure BOC ended up charging us over £400 just for rental on an Oxy Acetylene setup at work, my Argon bottle at home was £130 just to rent the bottle for a year.
That price from SGS Gasses sounds great if there's no rental too.
