Tig welding wanted please.

This is a Chinese header tank with modifications. I have now had two of them split down the same seam, in service. As I am now on the last one, I wonder if someone would repair these for me properly, or even make one from scratch?

Happy to pay the going rate for the work of course.

Looks like its been welded outside corner then buffed down, i personally wouldnt repair, i'd make new

Please would you? I can send you one of these as a pattern or we could redesign it. We could go with a conventional size cap for a start!

Here is how it is mounted, but again we could come up with something better. It is only held one side. The plastic tank is an original which is NLA, so the alloy one was pressed into service. I may have a faulty original maybe, as a sample.

might I suggest giving the new one a better chance by isolating with rubber mounts .

If it's only held on one side the weight of water will cause flexing as it swings from side to side. Hence the fracture. And the dodgy welding doesn't help, either.

That top hose on the last few pictures looks to be doing a good job of feeding engine movement into it too.

I was thinking the same thing.
An "S" bend looping it behind the alternator would probably alleviate that.
