Hi, question for brewers ,what psi should be applied to a home brew barrel?,I am gonna use my argoshield via a regulator to pressurise my home brew,I know it is done with co2 cylinders but i have a mig and a 9ish kg cylinder of argoshield so I will try that,cheers for reading[might improve my welding]

why do you want to pressurise it? Natural beer makes it's own CO2, there's no need for any extra.

alec only initially is co2 created during the secondary fermentation in the barrel once fermentation has stopped its then up to you keep the pressure up to allow the beer to flow out and not create a vacuum and you must use pure food grade co2, introducing air to the barrel risks bacteria getting into the beer and then you beer is undrinkable

i asume its the type wit a tap on the bottom
once you start to drink it and the pressure forcing the beer out drops just inject some co2 until you get a decent flow again.
but make sure you dont go overboard its a crime to spill the beer

i wouldnt advise using the argon / co2 mix either it could have a bad effect on the beer

It needs pure CO2 with no Argon. I used the small Hambleton Bard cylinders to pressure mine, you only need a squirt every now and again and the pressure in the top feed barrels was only about 4psi.

i have the same and as you say a quick squirt

i wouldnt like to try beer with argon if using the co2 from a pub bottle i suppose you could set the reg to 4 psi and the price of the hambleton bard cylinders last time i bought one a few years ago was expensive then a pub bottle will be cheaper and last how many years for brew ?
