I don't either fortunately! The openings will be filled in with hard wood fairly soon, I need to find some time to clean my workshop of all the grinding dust before tackling any wood work though, the stuff gets everywhere!

Some decent hardwood that weathers well, will make a nice contrast.

Edit, maybe some plastic hardwood/lumber, it comes in a few shades.

I was lucky enough to find someone selling some Mahogany a few years ago and snapped it up, it'll be that or Teak/Iroko, I have both on hand. Just need to check what I have enough of. The composite is a good suggestion though, I don't really like plastic but it may be an ideal solution for the winter.

I like wood, I like working with it not that I'm that good.

But just sometimes a composite is a better solution and longer lasting.

However if you have Mahogany spare, so long as it's sealed it will be hard wearing enough, won't last forever but it will look good.
