I seem to recall that info being in the Lechler 29107 data sheet.

It's going to want a 'T' wash or mordant solution to stabilise it for painting.

lechler datasheet says its good for fresh galv.

i hope it is, as ive just done some of these bits with it -

It might be that mordant gives it a better key, i dont know. I assume mordant is just some acid brew, and i wasnt that keen on putting that on box section where it would probably lurk on the internals.

2k acid etch use it on my ally wheels after i sandblasted them or on anything decent worth painting

I have to say, iwould use mordant solution before epoxy. Apparently the gasses from the process can get under the primer if not neutralised.

Is that "would" or "wouldn't"?

I don't think theres any gasses involved in dipping in zinc. We all know if it gets too hot it burns off, but hot dip is going to be below that temp.

Nick is recommending the use of it. I can't argue because I don't think I have painted any fresh galvanising to test, but I believe that epoxy is good for direct application on new or old material.
