Oxyturbo 200

just had the Oxyturbo 200 delivered, followed the initial instruction, it wouldn’t light light up when the fuel was added, ie the red valve.
This is man brand new, I’ve been trying to light the oxygen not the fuel.
So just to highlight the colour of the gabs pipe going in and then check the colour of the valve.
Am I being stupid, or is this a manufacturing error and is it just a one off?

Any thoughts from the more experienced welders and or users of this particular welder?

welcome to the forum ,,, did you open the cylinder valves first ,,,

there you go ,,,, hope that helps except you will open both cylinder valves completely , then adjust flame etc on the two valves on your torch ,,, but remember to turn off the cylinders at the end of the day , or they will be empty when you go back to them.

maybe how the internals of the vales are set up ,,, turn on the map , and sniff it , or try lighting it , then repeat ,,, soon tell you , but fuel gasses are usually a left hand thread

it dont give you much confidence in the gear if the pipes were put on the wrong way round from the manufactures unless its from china

only because the pipes have been crimped a,rse about 1st in the torch

It's difficult to say, but it is hours in my experience, 2-3 maybe more and depends on a load of things of course, I use in 10-20 min bursts to get things cherry etc, invaluable if you cant be arsed with big bottles for little jobs. Have a Rothenberger Roxy set as well, but the O2 bottles for that are rare and expensive.

Made some aluminium brackets someone had hacked off an unobtainium fairing brace, used some Johnsson alu weld rods, bricked it in case the whole thing turned into a blob but the kit is quite easy to control and polished up nicely

Yes opened then cylinders first, the cylinders have the correct hose to each, red for fuel, blue for oxygen, so b4 I realised that the pipes were ncorrect at torch end I was obviously trying to light oxygen b4 fuel, emailed supplier to call me Monday, hopefully for straight swap

As its new, I won’t swap knobs over as (a) I might snap/break the knobs in attempted swop, (b) contacted the supplier with the pics, so a straight swop should be the quickest solution. Just hope this was a one off and there aren’t more like it in the system!
