Yet another project, Mini One R52

Couldn’t resist buying this after a few pints
Needs an engine and a bit of fettling but should be a decent car once it’s done. Unfortunately it’s not an S, just has S side badges.
Will update this thread as it progresses.

Hey ho, I gave very little for it and it'll still be a fun drive, I'm sure.

They're great cars if you're not afraid of them. A pal of mine does them on his drive. Engines, gearboxes, clutches etc. Always a full front end off job but as long as it's dry weather it's no issue really.

I got a Cooper as a stand in for the Merc while the gearbox was fixed. Look out for gearbox issues, power steering pump needing changed very spendy!!!

She ran it out of oil.
It turns over but sounds odd and won't fire.
I've already bought another engine on ebay, I just need to collect it.

Just got back from collecting the replacement engine.

Well, it will keep you amused for 20 minutes fitting that Wozzaaah, so what's happening in the afternoon ?

Had a bit of spare time today so thought I’d take the engine out.
It was surprisingly easy. No hoist necessary, just place a trolley underneath the sump, lower the car then wheel the whole thing out.
