Yes we should, no its very rare in that I never seen anyone do it. . Spores are extremely tiny and generally quite resistant to chemicals so I have doubts it would do much. I do get the bar off and give it a general clean with a brush after each job (but not each tree on a site)

This big saw is only for removals so the chance of infection very low. It would be most important on climbing saw and silky.

@8ob do your guys disinfect any kit? What would you use if it were a site requirement?

There was a bit of this going on when Ash dieback was first recognised, wheel washes on exit from woodlands and kit cleaned off. The cost involved soon knocked that on the head

Friday I bored out about 50 copper rivets to remove the worn Ferodo from some winch brake bands.

Made up a tool to set the copper rivets, ground up a 13mm drill to act as a flat counterbore then drilled, counterbored and rivetted on some new Ferodo.

The stump job was priced far too low, I went back today to finish it. A teacher from a london primary school came to collect some logs for a school fairy garden. In a 3 door Micra! More on the back seats.

Finished, the logs stacked at the hedge hole for easy loading.

The g372 still giving some issues with exhaust, think I have abused and stripped on of the threads which I can helicoil. However I might just upgrade to a meteor cyl kit.

Helicoil them and when it's finished just rebuild it with the meteor kit.
It's still managing to do the job, waste of money and time IMHO.

Went to the airsoft field again.
This time my M4A1 worked fine.
Feeded great shot and everything.
Numbers
0.5J not enough for our standards.
I've been lucky there was the group specialist.
He used to have one, he said "that's a nice AR let me have a look at it"
He asked me about it, where I found it, what I've done to it etc etc.
Then he asked me if I knew how old it is.
I've said that from the licensed markings on the lower receiver it should have been produced in 2003 so roughly 20 years old.
Then he asked if he can have a look to the air group
No problems he takes the air group and had a quick look asked about the components and he said to his little son: go to the car trunk and take the long black rifle.
He showed up with a second generation split gearbox full custom ICS AR
He splitted it in half and pulled out the air group put into my upper receiver assembled and repeated the Chrono
0.96 ,0.98 a pretty good rateo too.
He told me replace the spring with a 80m/s one, put a new piston head and check the cylinder head.
And so I bought the spring, and new cylinder and piston heads.
Once I get them delivered I'll install them check for compatibility and repeat the crono.
Pretty sure this time it will go over joule a little but it's easier to adjust
I think that because I got an 85m/s spring because apparently the 80 are little hard to find an wanted to buy everything from the same seller.
But I can easily clip a coil off to get the wanted results.
Plus I have a longer barrel than his M4 so it may need the extra 5m/s to reach the same results

The compression is slightly low, and running with a loose exhaust will have leaned and not done it any good. There was some visible glazing/wear/poor plating on the original cylinder, when I last had it open.

It does cut well when its running properly. Occcasionally it can bog and take a while to run right, which is very frustrating!

In this case replace it straight away.
Nothing worse than having to struggle with a chainsaw that won't run

As I am using the g372 for cutting large things that may better suit a g888. I could spend £150 on upgrades or £600 for that, and have a much more powerful saw. It may also have the same issues but atleast I would have a spare of the g372.

The annoyance is the g888 needs .404 bar and chain, running it on 3/8 may be a bad idea, so thats another set of chains to maintain. Tempted but unsure.

The problem is I dont have big work often enough, to find the problems in the saw. The other guys have a 462 and 500i as their biggest saws, so similar to mine.

Proud of my daughter. She's a tad special / on the spectrum and had a lot of anxiety/ self confidence issues. I've posted up before the nails she's done. All hand painted right down to making the fruit out of rhinestone gel, whatever that is?

What about the missing link?
Ms660 isn't it right in middle?
372xp is 65 to 72cc upon the bore diameter the ms880 I think to remember it's a 125ish cc saw so middle size and better compromise IMHO would surely be an Ms 660 with its 90cc displacement
Plus Stihl chainsaws are way different than Husqvarna ones
Stihl use 2 piston rings, Husky use single ring pistons.
Husky runs hotter and at higher RPMs than Stihl normally but they give a hell of a lot of problems compared to Stihl as they are more susceptible to leaning and experience more wear due to the higher RPMs.
(I think that the fastest Stihl saw is the Ms361 with 14000RPMs)
Stihl use better intakes designs, Husky use complex plates gaskets and whatever they're mind generated during the designing of their products and they fail one way or another.
Now when you use clones you have to consider that the genuine defects may be exponentially amplified
