Yes we should, no its very rare in that I never seen anyone do it. . Spores are extremely tiny and generally quite resistant to chemicals so I have doubts it would do much. I do get the bar off and give it a general clean with a brush after each job (but not each tree on a site)
This big saw is only for removals so the chance of infection very low. It would be most important on climbing saw and silky.
@8ob do your guys disinfect any kit? What would you use if it were a site requirement?
There was a bit of this going on when Ash dieback was first recognised, wheel washes on exit from woodlands and kit cleaned off. The cost involved soon knocked that on the head
