Bluetooth ear defender recomendations

After jet washing and wearing standard ear defenders and being bored sensless I would like some bluetooth compatable ear defenders I could listen to music or a book or even take calls on.
I have samsung ear buds the pro 2 or something never use them much the tap commands confuse me they fall out and they sometimes dont connect properly!
The threads that came up in the search a and year and 2 years old now just wondering what people use now as tecnology moves on.

I just use earphones under my defenders. Ones which have an ear hook though, not simply push in ones. You simply need to move one earcup to answer calls.

I've got the sthil ones. Batteries never seem to run out. Loud enough. Sensibly simple buttons. Mic built in, which is largely pointless as no one can hear you if it's loud, but I guess some people could shut off their "noise maker" if someone called them.

I use mine all the time. I even use them when driving the landrover.

If I lost them, I would buy again without hesitation. About £75 or £80 iirc

I've had a set of 3M Worktunes for the best part of 6 years now and they've been great. Only one button but paired to my phone does everything I want. Long press to turn on and off, tap it to start / stop and double tap to skip.

It also has the ability to receive calls but not sure if it has a microphone or uses the phone microphone.

When I got them they were one of the few proper ear muffs that were properly rated as ear Defenders. The child damaged the only wire between the ears but I was able to open them up and resolder that one.

My daily is an 06 Fiesta van atm, so wind and road noise (while doubtless not at Land-rover cacophony levels) is far from quiet, plus I ran an LDV Convoy for 11-years (which probably does rival a Landy for racket! What? Eh?).

Offputter for me is I'm a Speccy -and after relatively short periods my (not exotic) ear defenders' pressure on the glasses arms & my ear becomes uncomfortable & intrusive.
Perhaps there are some decent & effective defenders out there with soft enough cups that suit us Speccy types?

I use Peltor X4A's, wear glasses, & they've caused me no problems.

I wear glasses. I'm aware of what you mean.

The sthil are far better than most in that aspect also. I currently have two other brands of ear defender here too (all the high spec, which I forget what it is, and non electronic) and the sthil are the most comfortable of all of them.

I couldn't say they were flawless but close to it.

I drove to Essex from Devon a couple of weeks ago in the 110, which has zero sound proofing, and no carpets etc. 5 hrs or so. No issues.

For tree work lots of teams use cheapy motorcycle intercoms to talk and do music.

Not bought one yet as the cheapies are only two way, and the boss tells me they just use whatsapp with it, when theres 3 or 4 of them, kind of defeating the point.

Theres more expensive 6-8 way versions but I cant find any decent reviews from anyone that has tried with say, 3 or 4 connected.

These ear defenders are good but a bit big on helmet.

Lidl also had some BT ear defenders recently for £30. No intercom function. If you have it turned on and no device connected, it amplifies every ambient noise like paper, possibly good for talking. With music on they worked fine. I returned mine.

I think I ordered them off Amazon ironically (their returns at least make things easy). I've got a feeling they came from the US though.
For some reason can't copy a link on my phone but if you search 3M Worktunes connect there's some on there for £77ish.

Not necessarily, their blurb on their website specifically says they are designed for blocking sudden loud sounds. Most shooting hearing stuff I've experienced would let through power tool noise as it falls into the same sort of category as people talking.

The shooting protection is usually designed for killing very fast and high amplitude noise rather than less powerful monotonous noise.

Exactly that. I read the specs on both of them. I have also been looking at the ISO tunes ones now. They get good reviews also.
