When I had the floor poured for the workshop the guy I used (Andrew Sheen) was £750 plus cost of concrete. A 12x5m floor 8" deep and this is the finish they got straight off the pour of (I think, if I remember correctly) C35 concrete. 2.5h from them pulling in the drive to driving back out having poured the slab and tamped it (they didn't polish it or float it at all).

Would highly recommend him. If you want a marble like floor he'll polish it but if it's going to get oil he strongly recommended not to as it becomes like an ice rink.

The self loading mixer seems a bit of a one trick pony. There are lots of the Chinese tracked loaders on the market now and you could fabricate something like this

I've messaged back to tell them that AliExpress cancelled the order. Interesting as I presumed the seller had cancelled...
Whatever, I figure it's a bullet dodged given the discussions over the last few pages - fully expect I would have had a 3 figure or 4 figure bill to get it to me from whatever port it was ditched in.

From what I've heard from others, you got off lightly !I've just found this out the hard way. Bought a tracked dumper from China, £1500 landed UK cost, 0% duty and 20% VAT, so £1800 all in. Or so I thought. The invoice came through for the UK port to my house bit and it's £653 for terminal handling, documentation, customs clearance, haulage, fuel surcharge, use of tail lift and use of a pallet truck

I just ordered a fanless server 'cos my existing CCTV server noise is driving me mad. It also failed to add VAT, which is strange and worrying as it always did it before. If the courier has to add the VAT they add a handling fee and delays.

I bought this hammer thingy a couple of weeks ago, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364590047686 a lot of the sellers mention possible extra customs charges (sent from Germany) but this seller did not! after I paid I got a message about possible UK customs charges so I contacted the seller and they said that they may not be applied and that they would refund me if they were, I said they should have mentioned this in the listing..... anyhow it turned up with NO extra charges.

If I get the mixer it will be kept to introduce my son in law into doin small batch concrete making & laying of shed bases paths & driveways .
I also hope to use it to make top grade rich compost for my 250 sq foot of raised veg & flower beds & sell my hardly used UK made electric Belle Mix .

This was loaded and mixing quite happily. I turn my back to tip the load I'd just mixed onto the berm I was building and heard something funky. Turned around and it wasn't turning around...
It hadn't been switched off since I'd started and was probably about the 1 tonne mark it had mixed already that day.

So... to be fair, I've used AliExpress for years, often for electronic components when I can order 10x for £1.30 for an item that would cost me a fiver on Amazon.
So I genuinely don't know what the issue is with this digger. Feels like, as others have suggested, that it can land in ?Dover? at £504 to China and then there is VAT, Import Duty, handling charges, transport etc. Never been an issue at the £1 end but I guess it gets more complex once you walk up the cost-ladder.
The odd thing is that I don't know why the order was cancelled. I paid £504 and, honestly, if I could have a usable machine delivered to my door for twice that, I'd have said that would be a good deal.
Ho hum....

Just to elucidate... it first appeared on f***book and a family member a was getting quite keen on it. I had the looking the manufacture's site and price was in excess on £10,000. A pair tracks for this size the digger would set-you-back £300 alone.
