Name that connector?

Is there a standard name for this type of 12v connection on car solar chargers please?



Reason is I would be better to make my own battery connection lead with fused protection based on my specific car types. Eg S class with batteries in the boot VS other cars I have with battery under the bonnet. In all cases solar panels would go in the interior on rear parcel shelf.

Its a 20w panel so it's oversized for my car allowing for Irish sunlight

Only one way to find out - test it and record the results which I'll start doing tomorrow now the panel has arrived.

That was perfect, many thanks. I ordered a fused 1.5m long cable should be ideal for what I need. Will try one on a W140 S class first and if good quality then get more of them as most of my cars all have the battery in the boot.

I saw waterproof connectors on aliexpress for large solar panes.

I ordered a small Dribox for protecting the charger and connectors when I try placing the panel outside the car to see if it makes much difference input wise.

First test was on a low voltage questionable car battery reading 12.2v placed in rear window -



Completey overcast all day no direct sunlight. Battery at 12.4v when I came home from work to it does appear to be charging the battery.
