New Poultry Sheers, last lot return spring broke, let's see how this one does.

'Industrial Staple' remover.

100ml syringes, and 5 blunt needles, for small hole filling and jacks!

Can't find mine anywhere. Spark Plug spanner for loose fitting spark plugs.

Small Whipper-Uppers for resin and small paint mixes. Includes extension rods.

'Diamond' encrusted knife steel. Seems to be working on the ones knife sharpened and used tonight.
We'll see.

This is a Mini-Auger for making planting holes in soil.
Apparently, the garden is not where you take your power tools!

I'm still adding to my pile of antique and vintage 'old-tech' stuff. Here's one of my nautical acquisitions from last weekend: A small Perko cowl vent, mounted on what might be its original mahogany Dorade box. It's in pretty good shape. The cowl/scoop has a few small dings that could stand to be smoothed out, but no holes or cracks, and it rotates easily in the bronze deck plate. If anyone wants to know how a Dorade box works, here's a Wikipedia link.

I also added to my growing stable of hand tools for electrical wiring: A Knipex wire stripper. I like this style because it's good for getting into tight spaces.

And yet another crimping tool. I got this one because I have a number of non-insulated terminals to install on AWG 6 stranded wire, and my existing crimpers for didn't go quite that large.

I got the universal adapter for my brake bleed kit.

It's a lot more sturdy and bigger than I thought it would be.

I’ve just bought a long handled shovel from Lidls to see the same. If it works I will get a decent one. I see you’ve got one of those pirates gold diggin’ shovels as well

A few parts for my Tapmatic rebuild

Two annoying things, apart from the cost
The first item I didn't need (£22.50)
The spring that I ordered was the wrong one
I now need to persuade Tapmatic to swap the spring and give me a refund (no doubt a part-refund) on the washer,
and in addition pay postage both ways...

If it's the stainless one then it's a good one. I haven't broken mine yet. I've yet to find a stainless version of the pirate shovel, and my steel one is worn and on the point of breaking

We had some guys in screeding a floor and he loaded the mixer out of a builders bag with one and it looked effortless, I had a go and it certainly seems easier!

Just had a look on Screwfix and even the makers don't seem to able to tell the difference between a spade and a shovel.

A sore mouth, went to a dentist today for an emergency appointment. I've had a broken tooth for a while but the pain was getting bad so almost no sleep last night. Into the chair and got x-rayed, dentist declared that there wasn't enough tooth to save so it would have to come out. Ok says I and by the way I am almost phobic about the injections, no problem she says we'll use this numbing gel first and you'll hardly feel a thing. She lied, I could feel every prod of the needle as it bounced off my teeth and gums. Then after a short wait she reckoned I wouldn't feel anything while she had a poke around, eventually after 2 more syringes full of anesthetic she goes to work on the tooth. I am resistant to local anesthetic it would seem, it hurt a lot and she had to stop, so I've been given a weeks worth of Amoxicillin as she thinks there is an abscess under the tooth and another appointment to be tortured again.

If you have an infection it's common enough for the local anaesthetic to be ineffective, certainly in my case it doesn't work.
The dentist really should not operate on the tooth until the infection is either reduced or gone.

For injections to work they have to get it in the right place and many dentists are a poor shot! The last couple of dentists I used were excellent at injections.
Being swollen wont help.
