I did not start to use BoilerJuice (BJ) until they’d been in business some time, but when I did start, I was initially very pleased. But things seem to have changed.
I placed an order with BJ on Feb18 for delivery by or on Feb28. They assigned it to a dealer who is just 20 miles for me. As things are getting near the deadline, I tried over the last couple of days to get confirmation of the delivery date (i.e tomorrow, Friday).
BJ say that is entirely down to the agent. BJ say they cannot get involved until after the delivery is late.
The Agent (Lovels at Long Crendon) will not talk to me; they say their contract is with BJ not with me.
Recently I’ve been told that many oil suppliers will now offer to match BJ prices if asked to do so over the phone. I now wonder whether some agents will start intentionally letting BJ down? If you can get BJ prices without using BJ, my experience over the last few days makes me wonder whether the middle man can be a disadvantage?
