I was reading the english pages of http://backpackwelding.com/ yesterday and wondered if they were using the right words here...
"The Backpack Welder (BPW) is a welding system that is worn on the back of the steelfixer. The lightweight welding machine is mounted on a backcorrecting, adjustable harness and includes several grounding options. Mass can be made by the shoe, the knee or glove.
This system was developed by a bender for the steelfixing industry, but the BPW can be used in any situation!"
What do we call these in the UK, I've not heard either term used.
