You can always justify buying new tools but explaining why it’s so necessary to the wife is another thing completely.Somebody switched it off and back on again some time around 9 this morning.
Now got the info I need, and now just need to decide if I can justify the spend or not :/

I'd like an AC TIG welder, as I've had a couple little jobs lately where I've had to get a couple contacts to do some aluminium welding.
And R-Tech have sent an email saying they'll be increasing prices in February, so I figure now would be as good a time as any to upgrade.
I was wanting to check what model I'd need to at least match the existing MMA capabilities of my DC TIG, as that's what it mostly gets used for.
However it works out at just under £2k by the time you add a foot pedal to a 211, which is only slightly more powerful than my existing Cebora TIG (which I have managed to trip the thermal cutout in when arc welding in the past).
If it was solely for workshop use, a 261 would make more sense, but the little TIG occasionally needs to be dragged elsewhere, where no 32A sockets exist, and I'd have to sell the Cebora to justify a new TIG at that price.
I've got another few days to think about it. :/
