You don't get wealthy by throwing it about! A good (millionaire) customer of the camera shop I worked in was a prime example... trousers held up with baling string and general appearance of a pauper yokel. However, he would spend good money on his camera kit.

Funnily enough.. he's bought this one as his previous diesel spent most of it's life in the dealership with dpf issues caused by them not driving it enough..
Makes me wonder if the fuel savings will even get close to covering the deprecation on the new one?

I asked what car he drove, a BMW, a toyota 4x4 and a mitsi pickup,
did he see my point?

he now drives 2 landrovers an aston martin and a subaru as the UK dont make anything comparible,
he struggles to buy UK tractors

A lot still.
The Range Rovers and Evoques etc are. I think only the Disocvery 5 and the new Defender are made abroad.
They still employ around 30,000 people - 20,000 in the UK. Most of the engines are still built here. All the design and engineering.

Thats as maybe, but when they will only extend the warranty beyond 3 years at a huge cost assuming it passes inspection at 3 years, its not really a good advert for an expensive high tech motor. Ive decided to wait and go Toyota.

Friend of mine in the US bought a a Range Rover as his daily driver. He owns and runs a car restoration company, and has several high end muscle cars of his own, and some wierd vintage vehicles.

When asked why he bought it, he said the Range Rover is the only car he could find that does exactly what he asks of it.

Or, more likely, it’s just for a bit of prestige when he is out and about.

Range rover evoque. I've no idea if his cost £55k but I think that's about going rate.

Not what I'd call a real range rover but that's what Landrover call it..
