you think the newer insulation is bad you should really try the old 80s stuff and if you think thats stuffs bad try the earlier stuff before then thats stuff itchys and scratches like hellKingspan were non committal in endorsing the use of their products fitted in front of an existing installation "that had not been surveyed...." etc, no surprise there, I imagine the same goes for the other big names. So I will leave the existing tyvek-rockwool-plasterboard in place. I will use the rafters to fix another set of supports for the insulation.I,someone, will place mineral wool batts or pin rolls out and I will point to where I want the screws in the boards. That should not worry the plasterboard sandwiched in between two layers of mineral wool, I hope. If you all knew how much I truly hate the irritation from mineral wool fibres you would know why I just don't start the job again from under the roof tiles.
the new stuff isnt so bad but that old stuff you knew about it
if you think the insulation board is any better its not and its dusty and you breath the stuff in its bad enough even with an old wood saw and im the one that dosnt like using a circular saw with that stuff as its even worse
get it in your eyes and you know about it
