Where can I get some of this?

Saw these on Fleabay.
They are just what I need for making very small sculptures but at £17.00 a pair, I almost choked on my bacon butty. So easy to make your self.
But where do I buy the flexy bendy stuff from? and what is it called, obviously I was lapsing into technical jargon there.

It is sometimes called obedient tube, or something like tube. But for 8.5@ I wouldn't bother I thought they were cheap, which is very unlike me

It looks like a shielded earth cable with crimped ends on both ends instead of a battery terminal.

Now I know why I've been avoiding this forum for a while....so much interesting information and I end up spending ages on the computer!
I'm sure I could use this stuff too (but MUST do some work!!!)- Chunko, try googling 'gooseneck tubing' and 'stayput tubing' There seems to be all sorts both plastic and metal. Here are a couple.. Whitehouse and Atlantic
'Gooseneck cable' brings up a lot but mostly it has wiring in which you don't need.

When I need information there is a team of staffers here who nowt to do but look things up for idiots like me.
I went to the manufacturers, they were dearer than the people who supply finished products. Went to T2, cheers Bill, a fiver a length at 13" does not seem to bad with standard threaded ends. I bought three and wil sort out the fittings.
Pictures in a few days.
Up till now I have been using crocodile clips welded onto bits of bar, just about functional, but infuriating when they move those few mm.

Probably the easiest - which I sometimes use - is croc clips fixed to the ends of aluminium wire, either round or square armature wire. It's cheap enough to make what ever length you need and the other end can simply be fixed to a bench or block of wood with netting staples (or use a second croc clip). Like the idea of using magnets with them for holding steel, I hadn't thought of that. I shall have to get some of those neodymium ones with holes in that I've been eyeballing for a while (with the idea of screwing them to the underside of things for hiding spare keys).

Thanks for posting up that T2 site Bill, thanks a lot. I've just wasted a good hour 'browsing' the site and now I find I want some of those microphone thingies as well. No idea what I want them for, but I just want some.

You're spending a fiver on a flexi thing to make your own? Plus vat plus delivery and the you have to source the magnets / clips etc for the ends, plus get those delivered separately? And then the time spent searching & making.

What am I missing? Just buy them?

I was thinking that, the fleabay ones are longer too, 18" rather than 13". Here's a linky if anyone wants them! I'm thinking I'll get some as they are more robust then ali wire and even cheaper than list price as I'll get the VAT back

Ah...not so cheap, the price is EACH not a pair making them £21ea with postage. Found them slightly cheaper here at £15.80 ea (includes VAT and postage).

I like the idea of flexy wire, but I also have that tragic small boy thing which involves making my own mechanisms and devices.

I know exactly what you mean Chunko...even tho I'm not a small boy (nor ever have been!) I have probably always had the mentality of one. Actually this thread gave me the idea of how to make the flexi tube I wanted for making a shower of white spirit (see the last post in my recent thread)

I reckon this flexy/obedient pipey stuff may well have lots of uses in the workshop. I think after speaking to the supplier that ehty might even screw into each other, looking forwards to having a new plaything.
This kind of stuff is great to do either when I am not busy, or when I am up to my neck in work it is nice to go and tinker about with interesting stuff.
