Clarke 16/1050 impulse buy, repair

Ok i put my hands up, i had an auction impulse buy moment.
Bought a 2023 Clarke Tiger 16/1050 that looked a little rough.
Picked it up today and sure enough it was all locked up.
Took the cylinders off and thats all OK, tank is fine.
Motor bearings are fine.
Conrods not so much, one was very much welded to the bigend.
After having a numpty moment and trying to take of the L/H thread at the end of the crank with an impact gun welded a nut on the now very abused Allen bolt and discovered a very galled conrod.
Looks like it has been run low on oil and one heat sized.

Rod dims are 12x23x94mm con rod looks salvageable!?!?
Has anyone else had much luck repairing a cheep compressor, and where do you get the bits?
going to need gaskets, rods, and the crank if its not stupid money.

I will try them, but they were monumentally useless when i wanted some parts for a pillar drill.

Actually if it's blue is it not the machiemart airmaster brand.

Probably identical apart from the colour.

Have found identical looking parts on ebay. made from the very finest Chinesium, but the originals dont look a lot better!

Repairing one of these is not too painful.

I know, they are cheaper than what i could find on Aliexpress.
Crankshaft, 2 conrods and the 2 top & bottom gaskets for £26 delivered!!

Unfortunately our local Machinemart is closing. I don't find them too bad on prices overall and if you get on the mailing list they send you coupons though not as often as they used to.

Quick update, bits arrive today, new crank, conrods, gaskets & bolt all for £26 deliverd!!
Started to assemble the bottom end no problems. Slathered it in SAE 30 oil as i was putting together, and the motor turns nice and freely with the bottom end complete.

Now get to the confusing bit, not worked on this type of compressor before, but im sure something is not right with the setup on one side.
First side went together OK and when you fit the valve plate and hold the reed valve in-between the head and the cylinder, its located with 2 pins, there were two bits of metal that made the reed valve, one had soot where the cylinder edge was the other have a witness mark where it was sealing against the valve plate, and looked like it had always been like this.
Went to put the other side together and noticed that the pins had a tiny bit of wear in one spot and there was only one reed valve piece, and looks like it has been rattling against the valve plate.
When you measured the gasket vs the reed, the gasket would never compress enough to hold the reed, and this looks like it has been like this since it was made. Maybe this compressor had never worked properly, with only one cylinder working correctly?
If anyone has any experience with this type of valve assembly, tell me if I've got it wrong?
Going to order some more reeds tomorrow and some air filters, and hope im not throwing good money down the drain.

Quick update, got time Friday afternoon to reassemble. fill with oil and give it a test spin.
All works as it should
Made full pressure (8bar)in about 1 min
