Shame, you'd think there'd be a few restoration places would want the patterns.

But likely nobody left alive to tell you what each one was for. I saw a report on that place on one of the Urbex forums, think it was alongside a canal or river great rows of huge ten ton plus milling machines standing there except several had literally fallen through the rotten floor into the basement. You take your life in your hands going in a place like that.

You'd spend more time and effort making old patterns suitable for use than simply remaking the patterns.

We had an enormous stock of our own patterns, spent a fortune storing them, then moving them . . . And in the end binned the lot.

Although its a start. Kind of making a pattern from a pattern if you get my drift

Saw similar in the shipyard, although it was watertight and solid. Must have been 100s of big wards and dsgs, big mills of all descriptions. Management had a clearout and we had to smash the lot up so the scrap man couldn’t sell them on. Lot of history lost there
