I find it easier to just have a battery in every tool, so you can pick it up and go. It's a convenience factor for sure, but I reckon it's worth it for my chaotic workflow, and frequently being under vehicles in the yard rather than in the machine shop.
The cordless angle grinder just eats batteries, even with 6Ah packs, occasionally handy but I always prefer corded or air if it's practical.

A clean find, almost as clean as the large Record bolt cutters that slid off the rear of a Transit flat back on a slip road and whizzed past my windscreen. Naturally I stopped to clear the dangerous debris from the road, the driver didn't deserve to get them back, should have checked his vehicle before setting off.
I have two of what you found and the batteries died years ago, I get the impression new batteries would cost enough to make me buy one of those Lipo jobs that can start a dump truck and is the size of a cig packet.
I'll dig out the chargers for mine and check the rating, I think they are about 1A rated, allegedly.

I fitted a new battery in mine two years ago and it was about 8 years old at the time. The new one has a bit more oomph than the original, we use it for camping as well as jump starts so it is more relevant than the small jump packs you get. Mine doesn't have a built in compressor.

I wouldnt normally take pics of food but this is worth sharing I think.
2 cod, saussage and curry sauce.
Years ago I was told about a phone app for collecting food that would otherwise be wasted. "Too Good To Go". I didnt look at it until recently. Its also very dependant on your local area. Near me there are a couple of chippies, Subway, and Toby Carvery takeaways. You pay a small fee, 3-6 quid and you get a suprise bag full of food. Often enough for two or more people. Anyway if the collection time suits I recommend it. Chippies seem to chuck out several times a day, carverys do breakfast at 11ish and mains at 9pm and often suits menon the way home.

Also got a pair of these electric finger choppers for £23 each. The plan is to mount one on a long telescopic pole.
However compared to my other ones, the blades and their opening are smaller. Motor sounds different. I think it can be modified. Not opened it up yet.

I think you're correct about it depending on the area - around here I've had a couple of surprise bags, and neither was particularly great. I had one from Subway which was a selection of bread, that seemed good value but since then, I've looked out for it again but they've had nothing available any time I check. Most of the time it's just that it would mean a special journey that negates the saving, or a risk of getting some food I wouldn't know how to deal with, like fresh veg and the like. Your haul looks great, though, I'll have to have another look.

I’ve had a cheap no name Screwfix special for years but it’s nice having something decent. Was going to get the bigger 18c model but this is perfect for the typical stuff I do, mainly electrical panel work.
