Waterproofing a mild steel shed frame

So I have started to make a small metal shed (6'6" wide, 6'6" high, 4' deep) out of mild steel for welding in. I have some mild steel flat bar and angle to waterproof,it's all slightly rusty.. Not a big job but I am wondering what is best to use to waterproof it. Not too bothered about the colour. Thanks.
I have some hammerite, direct to rust metal paint by the way, would this work OK?

wire brush, 120 and 2k epoxy primer, brushed or rolled on. Good base if you want to subsequently colour it.

if you want to waterproof the shed start it right in the first place

get your frame built put board on it and felt it on all sides thats one water proof seal

next its the same with your roof boards on and felt it

put latts all around the shed and also on the roof now fasten your roof sheets to the latts and thats your second water seal

you do the same to a house roof so why does so many refuse to do the same with a shed

Seeing you are welding then perhaps painting it in bitumastic paint is out (though it'd take a pretty big problem to get hot enough?)?
What are you cladding the frame with?

At the moment, I'm probably going to go with 1mm mild steel for the walls and door, and a clear polycarbonate roof to let light in.
I need to waterproof the frame since its already made and outside in the weather. I haven't got the mild steel sheets and roof yet.

be warned in winter it drips for fun on you in winter

im going to be using wrigerly tin but i have 2 uses for it

one for a temporary shed and then changed to a solar shed unit all depends on what i can get my hands on cheaply

for the frame work its either going to be wood or pallet shelving the roof is going to be done the same as goes for boarding its just another way to waterproof the shed the same as the felt as it keeps all the weather out

so if your going to store in there think of what your building

You could always fit a rollcage to the new one Lol. I am not really worried Bout protecting a new one. I am asking for the 2 trees within falling range to be felled anyway. Problem is even finding one of these damn sheds locally. Even the ones listed as in Birmingham are shipping only and...

Hammerite will be fine for needs once clad it’s going to be protected so no need to go overboard or too spendy.
Personally I’d use metal paint from Aldi or Lidle a lot cheaper and should be good enough for the job.

If you're using a plastic roof only 6ft6" tall, it could get damaged by hot molten balls of metal...
And it will Definitely drip condensation everywhere - guaranteed.
