Lidl cordless impact wrench

I use my Milwaukee 3/8" cordless ratchet all the time but can't justify the Milwaukee cost of of a 1/2" impact wrench for occasional use
I've seen Lidl have one in their special offers next week and wonder if anyone has experience of them - worth having or not

Parkside stuff is ok for occasional use, but not regular abuse.

Photocopy proof of purchase, receipts fade, and it will go wrong.

I saw one being used in my local independent tyre fitters place. Very honest guys working there, not the typical quick fit types. Worker said he'd been using it for ages. Never had a problem. Already paid for itself and cheap enough to bin if it went wrong.

I've got a Lidl one from about a year ago.....I wouldn't buy another. I'm waiting on funds to buy the Makita version at which point the Lidl one's going back.
Having said which, a friend who has the Makita tools me that the Lidl one's been re-engineered since I bought.
If you've had good use out of the Milwaukee I think the Lidl one will disappoint.

for ocassional use i woulnt bother

its the battery issue if they arnt being used enough they will die as most batterys do that goes for both types of batterys

if you have other battery tools then look for an impact wrench for those type of batterys

I've one. It's been abused over the last five years. It's not undone everything, but what it doesn't do usually needs a 3/4" 1000 ugga dugga wrench

I suppose, "at the end of the day" it's got a 3 year warrantee so I'd get at least that time period of use.

the warrenty is good but not great....
here, if its up to 3-4 months old u will get ur money back or replacement item.....
I've only ever had to take one item back, itlooked like new in it's orig packaging with a reciept.... 7 months old and they just gave me my money back.....
depends on the girl on the till here I guess....
after that depending on time they expect u to pay for some wear n tear......they say the items gets shipped for repair.....
can't read the details as it's all GREEK to me.....hahaha....

it was 1/2 the price of the UK....OK, I'm in the EU but check the prices.....
another good place for tools like that is POLAND, great people to deal with and costs can be better than Germany....happy to ship anywhere.....
Also a good place for used/new Festool.......

Up to a year Lidl will refund the purchase price. After a year Lidl will refer you to the manufacturer for exchange or refund. I had an 18 minth old soldering iron that had barely been used that wouldn't work and had to email CFH in Germany with receipt photos etc. Took a couple of weeks and then was refunded to my bank account.

I think they have a right to offer a repair rather than replacement or refund.

They're ****e, got one at work, it's about 1/3rd the power and speed of even my smaller 192 Makita, and the battery lasts about 10 minutes a charge, again, about 1/3rd of the Makita unit.

If you already have batteries and charger the most expensive part then a body only shouldn't be too much, mines a Dewalt so I buy body only and buy Chinasium batteries for the less used tools and oem batteries for those most used.

I've got one , it's fairly good , battery lasts ages for me. I think i got mine with one of the 4ah batts and a fast charger for £60 or £70.

I have Hitachi drills with 18v batteries. I should look for one they make but worried it's wasted money as Millwauke seem to be the go to but for my use I can't justify the purchase price.

When I win the lottery I'll buy Milwaukee or Snap On until then I'll stick with DeWalt, but I ain't got the spare cash, or desperate need, but it would be nice one day.

I found with my lidl polesaw that charging the battery every few months if not using it, helped keep it healthy,.

Recently they had the bare tool for £20 or £30 I cant remember. I had to spend £70 for the tool, battery and charger tho to be fair, its a much quicker charger than my old one.

I have hardly needed to use it and only on wheel nuts. It defaults to a feeble low torque setting that briefly had me disapointed before I noticed you have to press/hold a button to change modes


Now another tool that I wouldnt be without is their 12v 1/2" ratchet, no impact, its small to fit in tight spaces and will undo most low torque fastners without assistance. Makes a job far quicker than manually spinning bolts.


However if I were buying again I'd probably go for an ebay brushless Fakita, .ay cost slightly more but likely more power and durability.

Nothing wrong with the lidl batteries. Not as good as the branded ones but they certainaly dont die if you dont use them for a couple of months. However no Lithium battery likes to be stored empty, always best to have 50% to a full charge, depending how often you want to check on it.

I went to get one of these last time they were mentioned, but my local didn't have any, only the mains-powered one for £50. I bought that one because I had a specific job to do on the car that required an impact gun, and it did that job very well. I haven't used it since, perhaps because of the faff of getting an extension lead just to save a minute on undoing wheel nuts, but I expect that would be the same if I'd bought the battery one, needing to charge it ready for the job. I already have an air one, but at the time my compressor was playing up.
