After seeing Mr Pete's enthusiasm on Youtube about the Vevor drill sharpeners I decided to give myself a present.
I must say I like it as well. Very nice grind and drills cut like new.
I have no problem touching up big drills by hand, but this thing will give a near perfect grind even down to 3mm.

So I've bought an M6X1mm V-Coil set, I've seen on the torque test channel they are stronger than the original Helicoil

I've been looking for another electric hoist for a little while now.

Yesterday I acquired this, after an Ebay seller mucking me about in Erith Kent, his loss definitely not mine.

Ended up finding one closer to home, newer, with more capacity and 2 speed lift/lower and probably cheaper in the long run than travelling to Kent or paying courier fees.

Spent this morning wiring it up to test it works and check the chain drop length:-

3 metre approx lift, 1000kg with trolley, manufactured in 2014, seller recons he's known it, for about six years and it's hardly been used/if ever in that time.

It's a Record No.24 and I can't wait to get it stripped down, overhauled and pressed into service.

I don't need another vice but this one has a quick release and my existing Sealy doesn't have that. And who never got need confused with want!

Further to getting the above gifted to me nearly 4 years ago, I recently acquired another two vices. Another Record No.24 and today, this No.23.

The 23 looks pretty much just a slightly smaller version of the 24 and will undergo a similar overhjaul to the 2 x No.24's, when I eventually get around to it! (hangs head in shame )

I don't know maybe better materials or fit in the hole anyways 1000 psi stronger.
I'm going to use them to held a carburetor It wouldn't never need to have a lot of strength anyways

We use the same stuff at work and they do what they are supposed to.
I'll make a review about them once they arrive.
I don't think there would be much to go wrong with them

It starts from the young age buying cheap stuff and without any clue you end up with very expensive stuff and you have to lie about how much you paid for....

I have two good sets. One was close to €300. The grinder was €550
I also have two big boxes with very cheap chinesium drills which I use for holes that don't need to be accurate.
Those drills are bad quality and the factory grind on them is a bit wonky and of centre. With this drill grinder I can make them a bit better to work with.

Same here, I have a bunch of dormer bits(0.25 increments) and a gühring complete decimal set (0.1mm increments)
And a bunch of cheap Chinese bits, the original grind is not good at all, with a good grind they look and work completely different.
I was used to buy single cobalt bits from the Chinese store next door, they were not that bad honestly but they were enough brittle and I've had to sharpen them several times.
Parkside bits they work but they have the same problem they are too brittle.

This machine arrived last week... sold cheap as end-of-line stock by a company who seemed to try selling CNC plasmas and fast decided it wasn't the technology for them. This seemed to be their demo table but somehow it got decommissioned and sat for a while.
Well built solid table, linear rails, helical racks, but a chinesium Z axis, THC, and control. Already worked out that the THC will never have functioned properly, ever (missing wiring to the floating head switch!). I bet they had a nightmare with it.

I'm well pleased. I couldn't have even bought the hardware for the price I paid.

I'll get the cheapo control system up and running, if it's really annoying I'll sack it off and get a Centroid Acorn control.
