No, it was in Ilford Hill the road that goes to Manor Park opposite Ilford Hospital Chapel/the old Ilford nick was next door (?), in what is now part of the one way system, in-between Ilford Lane/High Road traffic lights and the A406 slip roads.Was it actually Ilford Lane?
The GB sounds familiar but, as a spotty youf of 20, I would never have had the balls to go somewhere like that
The GB used to have lock ins, and the plod would knock on the door about 2.30 to sample the goods on offer.......
.SDS was next door to the GB.....

Sorry, I meant Ilford Hill. Yes, it's the same shop that I bought my first socket set from, which I still have. It's something like 69 pieces, and was made by Hilka.
