Me and my big month.
The last bit was a right pain in the neck.
Not only did it rip when I was cutting it, it's not fitting nicely on the wall.
Old material?
Still don't know why it's not in alignment with the others, I suspect it's slightly thicker material. Ah, well, the seam is going to be hidden.....
Skim and fill will hide all manner of ills.
But not today, too dark and I'm tired.

I've a clearance issue on the door, I need to take a couple of mm of the divider bead to clear the hinge so I get a good fold back.

Lots of boring photos of plasterboard that just like look like the previous photos, but represent another layer of sanding and filling.
And I've emptied the bucket of muck.
I'll let this set, then do another bout of sanding. Maybe tomorrow. Including hand sanding the edges. Then remove the making tape and see where I'm at. I think I'm half way with the sanding and filling.

Much detail repairs.
I was hoping to get it all done yesterday, but it was too hot outside.
I'm using up old buckets of skim and fill, so that's getting rid of more junk from the garage.
Still, only a bit to do today, and hopefully finish tomorrow. Do a coat of paint this week....?

Probably, I find very little in it. The knife is easier around the protruding bolt heads.

Done. Well earned glass of grape juice and I feel okay.
I'm going to leave this for a few days, then sand and fix any major blemishes.
Management and I are discussing the final colour for the walls, she wants white, and I want a much richer cream. Which she describes as too dark.
So it will end up magnolia.
It's actually quite important as I'll be putting the bash panels over the paint, so we're stuck with what we decide on. Few paint companies can supply their old colours decades after they stop selling them.
I'm going to leave this for a few days, then sand and fix any major blemishes.

Well, I sort of agree. Except the floor is even richer/darker. And, in that context, it acts as a bridge between the ceiling and the floor....

We'll end up buying a tin of whatever they have that's close. I'll put it on and we'll never notice again.....
Look at that. With the floor on show it looks great. It's gonna be a lovely office (think that's what you said it was for?)

Yes, lots of work yet. I'm going to attempt to remove the white gloss from the original interior panelling, get back to the elm. Then panel one end. The other end is going to be . . .
