Bizjet. How deep will it go?

So, 19200lbs of metal going 400kts at over 10,000 feet per minute, passing 2500 feet, at an angle of 25 degrees down. How far would this clown have buried me if it had been a real aircraft instead of a Sim? 184,000,000 joules of energy!

737 rated pilot (?) who was simply asked to climb straight ahead to 6000. Of his 9 attempts at landing he only touched tarmac on one. All his training was on a "certain Sub-continent beyond the eastern edge of Europe" where, it is alleged, one can buy a licence for just a few Rupees.

thats scary, probably best not to know a pilots CV before you fly i get twitchy enough with all the whirs and bangs on take off and landing

I think sometimes life would be easier without some engineering knowledge

First time in a c-175 with the old hand operated flaps, the instructor cranks in full 40 deg of flaps on final.
I immediately shove the yoke in to keep airspeed, and the windshield is filled with grass (no horizon)
I turned to my right and asked "Do you want me to put a flare at the end of this or just screw it into the ground ?"

There’s a place in Manila, Claro Recto Avenue, a whole street of forgers, where you can get any sort of license, ticket, document, qualifications etc made to incredible standards. I know more than a few people who have used their services to get papers for work offshore.

It’s been in the newspapers no end of times, world famous.

How hard can it be? Wind on the power with wings level, pull up and adjust trim to suit, approaching target level, back off on the power and trim nose down a little to arc onto the FL.

I haven't flown for 30 years either.

TRI on Learjets at the mo. I'm sick of the quality of candidate being presented to me for training on type. Clearly this Jerk shouldn't even be in the building. 37% on his classroom exam and 53 on the retake after sitting the entire groundschool again in a 1:1.
You can get 25% just by making a pretty pattern in the multi-choice.

A question Rob; with a light single, you have to hold the rudder against the full power take off (torque reaction?). In a twin or quad jet, is there any reaction against the thrust increase except perhaps from pitch up?

Big pitch up on underslungs (737Max/757) but things like the Lear have the thrust near the centreline and very little thrust/pitch coupling. The Lear engine-out situation is extremely nasty with a need for 150lbs rubber force and some auto/electrical assistance from a booster to keep you from screwing yourself into the Terminal building if the donkey dies above V1 speed. On a jet you'll almost never touch the rubber bar during flight. Huge ailerons but tiny rudder

It can be like that in the air too. A good one is Cambridge, two airports very close to each other, the civilian airport has parallel grass and tarmac airports. I gave my passenger quite a panic attack when he saw me going for the grass, when the tarmac was just to the right of us!

When I was flying the J-3, that was a common thing to do, asphalt isn't as forgiving.
