Tool trolleys ?

I am.after one of these types of trolleys. I looked a the SGS but no longer ger available then these.
Am.i correct in that even though there is twice the price difference they are the same. Look it but I cant just go off that.

i cant seen to find the trolley type as above. Never seen them before from Halfords.

I find they end up being little more than a clutter magnet.

I see the standard type but not the ones i am after as in Post 1.

A more recent purchase of mine was a good used Bluepoint tool trolley from FB marketplace locally. Far superior quality, larger and built to last. Best buy - by far. Be patient and keep checking local adds for one of these is my advice. I got this one including the Snap on fold up shelf for £280. Expensive yes but for the weight and quality I would buy another in a heartbeat.

That was setting it up including the squeaky clean new tool roll lining. I won't show a photo of it now after a bit of use and stuff thrown at it

We've had a few of those Bluepoint carts, they're a LOT higher quality than the typical SGS/Clarke/ebay types. You can get them well priced if you scour ebay and FB marketplace.

Some Sealey stuff is good but it's hard to tell what's great and what isn't, without seeing it in person.

Ultimately I got rid of mine. I always want to put tools and stuff I'm working on on top, and you can't do it with a flip top or sliding top. Much better off with a good 26" rollcab for an extra £200.

Our old Saturday lad had one of those, really good quality trolley.

To be fair even at full money it's still worth the extra over the Chinese variants!.

As for Sealey it's all rebadged Chinese stuff. I bought two chassis trolleys, one Sealey and one of Chinese origin and they were a identical even down to the packaging (apart from the Sealey ink stamp and instruction book)..

I made these 2 trolley's and 2 more with 3/4" plywood full width drawers....the full width drawer model has 6 r/skate bearings on each drawer....
one of these is used a tool trolley and parts storage when say doing eng work on the ramp/lift...
one drawer has at least 40kgs in it and rolls perf...
one the nine drawer units has a drawer's for 9" grinders, grinders with cutting disc's and another for hand held /grinders...plus another flap wheels.etc
the other unit is used for plumbing and elec stocks....
I like em coz evrything is easy grab and can take a crate with the right spares to the job....saves on walking...

I have limited room so everything is on wheels...
ps never buy casters with rubber wheels only get nylon.....those fell apart after a year, my guess the weight didn't help a lot....

I have a couple of old stainless steel tea trolleys. Both came from a charity shop for a tenner each. As Bob says, they ARE a clutter magnet, but then again, where else is the clutter going to be ?

Also looks like a display model to me. Look at all that wasted space !

Its not properly utilised until there is a pyramid of stuff on top, and you can't move it because the stuff will fall off !

I’ve got an old Wurth one, well made and you can still get replacement drawer runners for it
