This is one of my tyres!
Probably a good shout mate, i seem to remember they were surprisingly cheap the last time i bought one (Probably 15 years ago)

Yeah I got a pair of the EBay for £50 delivered.
Not yet mate. Been up to my eyes this weekend doing discs and pads on it.. rears fought me all the way.. the Disc bolt was basically made of cheese and felt like it had been ugga dugga’d in!! However I won in the end!
And now I’m just waiting for a wind back tool to be delivered as typically one side is left hand thread.
So no bypass relay at all?
Just splitting the feed to the rear lights?
If so this is your issue.
Which pin is getting 12.9v?
Test it at the trailer bulb using the trailer return earth wire.

Just had my mate round with his light board. Very slightly dimmer than on his Merc wired properly, but hardly anything at all. So I think it’s the trailer wiring that’s the issue.
I think I can get a full new trailer harness for around £40 so when I get chance to remove all the tape and check it if it’s shot a new harness isn’t the end of the world.

Hi guys,
Thought I’d give you an update re the lights.. so replaced the trailer wiring and it made no difference really. Strange because I tried my mates light board and it seemed ok on that.
I have now installed a smart relay and although I have yet to try it I am now getting 14.5v at the plug.
I think we’ll call that a win and next time I’ll just do it the right way the first time.
