Most likely something that is well known among TIG officanados. But in order order to check out my new Ninja AF451 operating temp, as I suspected overcooking. I needed a fine wire thermocouple, as the furnace probe wouldn't fit into the closed basket.
The compensating leads are ~0.5mm dia and needed fusing. I used a large block of copper and 5A on tig. Struck arc and held it. Brought wires to arc and job done! I was extremely pleased. Found fryer overshoots setpoint for the 1st 3-4 mins by about 20C, until settling down.
It means that even at 140C it browns the frozen sausages, not greatly impressed.
