Back on the teardrop today, after adding the door some time in the past 
i finally got hold of the wood to finish the idea. The runners had been here sometime so they went in first and i designed the rest as i went along. Wainting for another apir of runners to do a pull out shelf on the end so the mugs, tea and coffee can go on the end !

Made a big -fin standard bore B.32 Gold Star cylinder barrel into a +040 B.32 Gold Star cylinder barrel, all nicely cross hatched and plateau honed.
It might ring a bit when it's cold, but it sure as hell won't seize when it's hot...

I've been plugging away on my Camper conversion over the last couple of weeks.
Finally the interior is mostly done.
This evening I finally got to do a test run of the Fenoli tankless instant water heater I bought, with a view to using it for hot water for the Camper.
I wanted to try it rigged-up in the back garden & take some flue heat measurements (I had some dire warnings on here in this regard, as well as others about spontaneous conflagration etc - so some testing was in order).
Initial impressions are encouraging. Flue temps didn't exceed 68 degrees C at the outlet while at the flue inlet from the boiler it was just 27 degrees C.
(The "idea" has been to mount the water heater on one of the rear doors in the service area, so it would only be used with the door open in free air. The gas and water supply to the heater to be isolated when not in use).

I welded steel and stainless steel pipes, soldered polypropylene and copper pipes, collected sewer pipes. The time has come to gain experience with PVC pipes, assembly with glue.

I made the garage electrics work...again...well some of them...albeit temporarily. Basically this (with a lid etc):
It allows me to get the lights back on, to see to tidy up. Tbh I wish I hadn't! Other than seeing the task ahead I swear when I switched the lights back on I could better hear the rain dripping through the knackered roof.
The same old Wylex rewireable / plug in MCB board that was in there to start with but now fed off a new RCBO in the house. Re-positioned and stood off on studding to clear the roof truss. Existing SWA supply coming in top right. Big long loop of SWA left slack next to it for the gates. Existing lights T&E next to it.
At the bottom a length of cpc to a rod. Next to that a bit of 2.5 that fed one socket originally, now ending in WAGOs.
Now I've "just" got to have a tidy, move a lathe (probably), a damn great angle iron shelf and contents to expose the wall where the new cu is going, core drill through the concrete floor and footings, dig a trench to the house, cut across the concrete path...and lay a duct then connect the new underground SWA.
Plan is to replace the "garage" RCBO in the house cu with an MCB so I can have an all RCBO board in the garage. I'll replace the 100A DP switch in the house CU with a 100mA time delay RCD.
That's this morning sorted!

Extractor for press-fit crank bearings in a bicycle bottom bracket:
An MX-5 brake caliper piston was almost perfect for the outer part - it just needed boring out by a couple of mm to fit over the push-fit bearings and shortening a bit.
In use (Outer cup over the top of the bearing; inner bit fiddled through the hole and flipped up behind the bearing.)
Tightening the bolt pulls the bearing and its plastic carrier out in a very civilised manner.
The bearings have seen better days...
