The grip is too loose for that, and the barbs in the steel are next to useless. I could wrap the peg in something but the rubber is soft-ish and it feels like it would take a lot. A cable tie at the end might do.We used to use hair spray for our grips.
That'd not be too bad...What about wrapping the metal grip in rubber self amalgamating tape first?
Never heard of that! My first thought was impact adhesive but I thought you'd never get it on.The new layer of glue allows it to slide on
I first came across it 40 yrs ago with radio control race car tyres. It works that well, that with those, you put a layer of insulating tape on the wheel first and glued the tyre to that. When you wore the tyre out, cut down to the wheel, and peel the tyre off, the tape bond being the weak link. If you glued direct to the wheel, it was a sanding job.Never heard of that! My first thought was impact adhesive but I thought you'd never get it on.
Top marks for this suggestion! What about wrapping the metal grip in rubber self amalgamating tape first?
