Actually... i have all the old lead from the chimney we rebuilt so could probably repurpose that for here. I was going to weigh it in but its just occurred to me that its probably re-useable for this project.

I would be tempted to buy a new plastic velux with the correct fixing kit for your particular type of roof tiles. They were made in Scotland but now manufacture in Poland, no doubt with EU subsidy!
It's just for a garage office though. I was trying to keep costs down. I domt mind spending time on it.

rule of thumb with velux
as long as the width is very close to what you have your fine to use them
as goes for the length they can be extended or shortened with there trims
ive had many extra trims spare when fitting those type of windows
the top and bottom can be used not a problem
the trim that you will need to make up the difference is trim 4 the 2 side trims
You are missing the fixing kit , comes with the window , it includes the screws etc and the brackets which screw into the corners which sets thr height , ie from the battens and becomes a hidden fixing . You could screw through the sides , but that would look nasty , and doesn’t guarantee the height is correct , as if this isn’t correct , the flashing kit won’t work
Also it may be worth looking at the Fakro ( or similar ) roof lights , as they started making them / bought the design when velux moved to the newer design .

I should have done. I only realised my mistake when I got this one home.Just buy a used currently made Velux with the kit if you want to save over new prices...making your own kit from tin or lead wont end well believe me

Have a look on Ebay for second hand. These windows are a fiddle on even when new with correct fitting kit (and there are several depending on type of roof). Confirm with their helpline that you have the correct fitting kit. I paid extra for plastic, present day wood and water do not go well together.
So.... i got a flashing kit, but its apparent that i am missing trims 6 and 2 above as well, which i think come with the window and they are no longer available!
I should have cut my losses with this as others suggested. Its turning out as expensive as buying new, and more hassle!!!! Asked around a few local installers and they chuck old windows that are rotten so noone has the casing parts.
Thanks. That confirms parts 2 and 6 from your earlier diagram are missing. But I can't see how it can be sealed without them? I am.also missing the drainage channel thing that they install earlier in the video above the window but not sure if that's just for counterbattened rooves.

part 2 is just an L shaped cover over the upstand of the cover for the slates and is screwed down as you see in the vid the old types used to cover over the front piece
you need to find an old vid on youtube to find the right covers i dont have the power to find that video otherwise i would do for you
part 6 is just an air cover 2 screws at the sides and a few screws across the back
both pieces can be made out of steel roofing sheet trims
the draining channel didnt exist pre2000 as you used to fit the metal as low as possible between the rafters felt went onto the metal and you did a twin slate behind the velux window
so ignore that point
