Car or van to carry a person in a wheel chair

I can only speak of my experience.

I lost my wife and my disabled daughter within weeks of each other, my wife totally unexpected, my daughter, her life was always going to be short but she was very much loved.

Aged around 11-12 she started not wanting to go out, it was her younger sister who cottoned on, time for Mum and I--a rethink as to her mobility needs and transport.

The issue really was the fuss of getting her in and out of her adapted, it started to stress her out, especially her wheelchair, she wanted out quick, with her sibling or friends.

Found a Norwegian company as I recall, who had rethought the design of wheelchairs and what made them heavy, what we purchased was an extremely strong, lightweight WC, hell it was light and slingable, daughter loved it, we all did to, so much easier.

I've had a quick Google but couldn't find the Norwegian wheelchair maker. I'm looking for an ultra ultralight wheelchair, I'd be grateful for the name if you come across it again. Thanks

A small update
Found a little Dealer near Leyland who sold me a very nice Fiat Multipla thing, drives great few dings and scratches but a great price. Big advantage is it has a ramp on the back and he is pushed through the car so he is sat where the front passenger seat would be so great visability.
So hoping for a ride to the beach tomorrow.
On another note the Sprinter has just passed its MOT today with the table in the back! It's soon to be sold so I will have to get my finger out and remove the table!

Isn't that a selling point? That tables got to be rusted to the structure by now, adding to the vans sale value.

You just need to word the advert right and some hipster will snap your hands off.

"Rare barn find sprinter complete with antique structural solid metal picnic bench, no rust, new MOT, one lady vicar owner, never been thrashed, first to see will probably be a time waster, second to see will buy, mint condition, priced to sell"

Or words to that effect should do it. Be sure to make sure all the photos are out of focus and of a different vehicle.

In that case, to move table, reverse two vehicles together. Pallet truck table down scaffold boards into Multipla, remove Sprinter , then roll pallet truck down ramp. Voila…..
