7-8k if you are lucky. They go quick at that price. Cheaper is generally with a list of problems. Finding one without VAT is harder than it should be!

I got mine (1984 3cx 2 wheel drive ) a lot cheaper than the above. It's had its problems (pics on here somewhere) It's now road worthy tax and insured. Just luck I came across it.

Thats good but cheaper good ones are like hens teeth. I have been looking a long while and generally anything sub £5k was rotten or had major issues. When did you by yours out of interest? Prices do seem to have gone up in the last year or two. I got a fairly good condition Ford 655c for the lower end of that price range but it has a few leaks and the extra dig ram needs re-sealing at some point (works fine without it). Its nothing I cant fix (yet!)

Bought mine mine in 2022, no vat and no electrics (or very few) but very good engine etc.

Good. Sounds a good machine and good price. I really struggled to find something much lower than the price range above but sounds like they are out there if you wait, hunt around and most importantly as I learnt... move quickly when you see that bargain!

I'm a volunteer on a heritage railway, and when I came across the 3cx (accidently) I thought the railway would snap it up, ( they have a dilapidated 3c mk3) but they weren't interested so I bought it. It was to good to miss.
