Butts - how do you fit up yours?? S/S 2mm wall 6g

Hello people, just curious as to how the tig hands on here would set up a s/s pipe butt if its thin walled tube? (2mm or so) . Iv always tended to grind the prep to a knife point and butt them up tight and burn through then add the wire...
If it was heavy wall i usually set up a wide gap and feed the wire through the inside of the pipe looking through the gap

but i see so many people? setting up differently, so just curious as to how you lad (and lasses) do yours

Other than a slight deburr to the ends I close square butt up to 2mm, 1.6 tungsten, and a 1mm filler rod gets it done,

I agree with paul, only if its food process or dairy work leave out the wire. Autogenous is the way to go.

Same as Paul, very slight debur with flap disk on the outside, inside with round file, butted up with no gap. Sometimes use filler, depending on what the boss or customer want.

Sorry I can't stop laughing at the title of the thread on the front page. Butts, how do you fit up..... It sounds like a suppository advice request
Thin wall I just weld the two edges together, just make sure they are touching if possible. I don't really do thick wall tube or pipe.
