Evri (unknown) parcel delivery

Hi All,
Strange one here, Evri have just delivered a dirty great parcel (19kg) , that appears to be a computer desk and shelving, It's addressed to me, but I've not ordered it.
I've tried to contact Evri by chat but you can only ask about things that you have sent

It's also not possible to speak to someone by phone!

Has anyone got any idea how to find out where it's come from / how to return to Evri? Or do I just leave it out for the scrap man?

they didnt when i recieved 8x 50 gallon drums that wernt mine from evry couldnt get in touch with them .tried and better tried gave them away in the end

If it also has your name on it then it could be part of a scam/fraud, someone can open a littlewoods catalogue type account, buy a few things pay for them then make a large order sent to a different address and don't pay.

Someone opened a Next account in my name, reported it to Next, they explained the scam, sent me a return label for the order and closed the account once the it was returned.

Evri only take a maximum of 15kg from an individual.
I don't think there is any way for someone to print an evri lable without a tracking number and a return address on either?

Evri do also do contract delivery for various companies as well as act as a forwarding agent so it might be coming via that.

Have you ordered anything else recently? Ebay for example and the seller might have got the addresses mixed up?

Not really your problem but, legally, you still have a duty of reasonable care. So don't scrap it just yet..

Mhstar are a 3pl service so it's most likely an ebay forwarded purchase with the wrong address details. Would explain the 15kg bypass..
If you wanted to be helpfull you could see if they are on the returns list and book a collection.
Or just hold onto it for a 'reasonable' time then use it for firewood or packaging.

they can try to claim it all they want there not going to get it

the clue is who its addressed to so anyone who calls for it isnt trusted so its back to the company for collection

take reg and name and photo of the collection person its your security it shuts down any scam possibilitys

It's not really Evri's problem, someone has sent you the package (MH Star), Evri have just delivered it.

A mistake would be my guess.
Although they must have got his name/address from somewhere.
I'd expect something that the op has ordered recently won't arrive...

I have bought some HOMCOM desks. They are reasonable and good value for money. If it isn't collected in 6 months, you are entitled to keep the delivered item.

at 6 months id have already started charging storage charges on the item as im not a storage place for them

2 weeks is ample enough time to collect said item

they do it to us so we do it to them
