Pointing Indian sandstone paving

I last pointed our paving in lockdown when i had a sunny week or two to spare. I used this. It is brushed in and tooled to compress it, its easy and quick to do, but not very long lasting.

We have a fair bit of paving around the place where its falling out, or been washed out by the jetwash. I've laid a new patio at the top of the garden, we've had some paving taken up and relaid for gas install and i'm going to get rid of the stupid gravel boarder around the house that BC insisted on, replaced with a brick header course...so a lot to do.

As it is time consuming i'd rather do it once, and not again. Can anyone recommend a decent product? If needs be i'll go the route of traditional sand/cement. Some sort of epoxy product maybe?

i just mixed normal sand and cement as i hate the dry method

That Indian sandstone is porous, needs to pointed and then sealed. Really do need to keep the weather out of it.

It marks very easily. It always comes up nice and clean, and I use wet and forget which is really good at keeping it tidy.

Good call on sealing it though.

A friend of mine had a huge patio laid in that Indian stone, about three years later all the pointing had failed. Had it all cut out/repointed at a cost of about 6k , didn't seal it and its failing in places again. There is a mat finish sealer.

We have used Easyjoint a wet grout routed the old stuff out and brushed the wet gloop ,in it fills the routed slots so less likely to wash out when cleaned, ours has been in 2 years with no problem.
Quire expensive but quick to do the job so seemed to break even.
Coming up for 3 clean.
2 different colors of grout here, wet the lot brush in leave to dry it fills the gap, they dont show all the colors
like the reddish one we used on lower level patio, I think it came as a different product but when I queried they said it was the same

I thought the in thing now was to use an epoxy based jointing system?
