Fascinating stuff, I sent far to long looking at that. The family did not understand.
The flap wheel wind turbine thingys were fascinating, I have had similar ideas in the past, one day must build my reciprocating wind powered machine. Look at a leaf flapping up and down in the wind, goes up generating lift over a curved surface, hits the top of it's stroke, then flips and generates downforce, ad infinitium.
I also have two wave power generators in the cranium. Sadly I am an artiste not an engineer.
Theo Lansen linkage? I thought this looked vaguely familiar, the mad dutchman who plays with bottle of wind and plastic sticks on a beach. Remember him Drains?
