Thank you everyone for the useful info.
Overall a Track Saw sounds like the kiddie (I'm short of space & the old Macallister table saw got in the way a lot, & wasn't good for cutting sheets).
My old circular saw snuffed it years ago, so I could do with something - esp. Now the table saw has snuffed it.
I will have to figure out how to use one properly though!
Corded would be my choice - yes the cord is more faff, but I don't use a saw enough to warrant a battery one.
I do have Erbaur battery drill, grinder & impact screwdriver (love that last one- use it loads), so not against Erbaur stuff... but have read their track saw isn't quite as good as a Dewalt or a Makita (no direct experience myself with any).
I'll have to do some online browsing!
