A couple of folks died in brymbo steelworks back in early 80’s through legionella, and quite a few more wer pretty ill with it - they were having a shower at the end of their shift, and it was apparently present in a water tank, the shower released it as aerosol.

the waiting game with hot water systems is down to a badly fitted system or the owners fault in the term i want it fitted there

the other fault lies with the owners installing stuff after the fact or changing where apliances was in the first place (extensions built, kitchen moved further away )

the term instant with hot water isnt true its a false claim

it dosnt happen with hot water tanks and also dosnt happen with multi point boilers the only difference is your not preheating the water for when you need it

what was placed in the center of the house ( hot water cylinder ) has now been replaced with against the wall multipoint boiler hence the reason why one systems has a further away run
oh but i gain room back with cylinder removed comes to mind then sit there complaining it takes a long time to run the water through the pipes but they never fit a second boiler

its too dear to fit a second boiler its too dear to fit a second emersion tank also i dont want to fit 2 central heating pipes to the hot water cylinder for whatever reason given

a little water down your drain does help your drains out but people are getting frugal with that one due to the water meter

instant exists nowadays with electric but watch your electric bill bounce after all it is a kettle heating the water

your electric shower and instant hot water at your taps are both electric fed

legionella is more present in an open air tank than a closed system but its still there

the tank in the loft gets debriss in them so should be covered, dead carcuses have been known to be within them
then it travels down your pipes to the hot water cylinder this must be heated above a certain level to destroy the microbes if not they multiply

legionella is also within cold water even at your dams down your mains pipes and within your property pipes

its just not enough rate to cause the human body to suffer
