Gloves

I use Contour Avenger gloves mostly, light fabric with some sort of plastic or nitrile cover on palm and fingers. Quite hard hearing and good for gripping and holding. Not really oil proof though, so if doing this sort of thing, I wear some nitrile gloves underneath them, which helps them last a lot longer.

Never used to wear gloves, but got fed up will hands looking a mess. Now I could be a ring model !

Gloves are a nitemare. Especially when you test a pair. Buy a couple of pairs and when you need more they no longer stock them.
I need dextrous Gloves that are cut resistant as I have a Stanley blade whizzing past my fingers 10,000 times.
So ordering online is not easy as many cut resistant gloves are thick.

Trying to work out cut level tables requires a degree with everything from A X and 1 to 5 being used to designate levels.

My go to used to be Polyco Finite PF but during the pandemic they became difficult to source

I appreciate £17 sounds a lot but in my experience buying the cheap boxes is only of use if doing quick dirty jobs. I sometimes take these off and put them back on multiple times a day.

As with all these type of gloves the key is getting into the habit always using them and swapping them as soon as they split. If you don't do either of those things then you may as well not bother.

It's nice to able to strip an engine and not have to spend 25mins trying to get you hands clean.
