Used Sealey Automig 190 Welder worth to buy

I found a second hand welder on facebook marketplace for 80 quid(100 USD). Been sitting in his garage for 8 months an This is the post on facebook. Not sure if its worth it. The price is nice but im not sure. Is there anyway if i should go, what should I check works, like the wire feeder stuff. And incase its not obvious i have no idea what im doing

Welcome to the forum

It has wire in it so I'd go round with a mask and a 13A plug and try it. Even with no gas it will tell you if it can strike an arc and lay down wire.

If it does then it's easily worth £80

Collected my bargain mig/arc welder

Collected this Sealey automig 190 arc today and gave it a good clean and quick repaint and it's looking good again . I paid just £100 for it and it's just so much better to use than my Clarke 151 mig . I think the quality euro torch makes a big difference over the cheap hobby torches

Unusually for a transformer-based MIG welder, this machine also provides DC Arc welding! That is why it has an arc electrode rod holder with it.
It has 7 voltage ranges, and a timer for spot welding.

id say if you can put a plug on it and basic tests it then your happy to pay the asking price if not as above lowball offer
