that wont remove the krap build up behind the paddlesFill it half full of stone chippings, run it for an hour, wash it out, put it away and stop worrying about it. Its a cement mixer not a ferrari. It will mix the same regardless.
More like this... The drum will end up a bit lumpy but the technique is to smack the outside of the drum near the outside patch of where the concrete has set. Ive had to do this on my mixer when I bought it first, and later when it had a bad day and the engine refused to start and we left it with the remains of the mix we couldn't tip out easy in disgust. I suspect thats the reason it was cheap with concrete set on the inside originally...
and even thats crap if its caked onworks ok but not as good as the suff from the 80's
Is it to be used for food peparation?Hi All
Does anyone the best way to get small deposits of hardened cement out of my cement mixer, its only small deposits but most are behind the mixing fins inside, its to awkward to get the grinder behind the fins, would brick acid work?
I always cover it with waste oil once its finished with but just need to get these small deposits removed
As he states 'pea-sized' not 'pea-gravel' which is too smooth.Either that or like one of the above dump a bag of sharp driveway stones, pea sized, in with a little brick acid and put it on for a bit...
Make sure you wash it out thoroughly afterwards
Blimey, I never expected to get quoted 14 years later, wow! Didn't realise that much time had passed...As he states 'pea-sized' not 'pea-gravel' which is too smooth.
